How we work / MTH-01

Method and report

The method is written down. The result is measured. Every engagement starts with a method statement you approve, and ends with a written record.

Four steps

The method is written down. The result is measured.

  1. STEP 01

    Walk-through

We walk the space with your facilities lead and agree what’s in scope: rooms, floor type, access windows, escort and MOP requirements.

  2. STEP 02

    Method statement

Before anyone enters the room you receive a written method statement: sequence, areas, materials, tile-lift plan, and stop-work rules. Nothing starts until you approve it.

  3. STEP 03

    Clean

Hearth & Hall works top-down and to the plan. No blowers or compressed air. Damp, never wet, and no wax or finish on raised-floor tiles. Tile lifts are limited to a few adjacent tiles at a time.

  4. STEP 04

    Count & report

PMCS takes airborne particle counts and issues a written report.

You see what was in the air, what we did about it, and what was left.

The report

What you get in writing

Counts
By sampling location at 0.3, 0.5 and 5.0 µm, before and after the work where verification is included.
Comparison
Each location against ISO 14644-1 class limits. Class 8 is the usual reference for data center white space (ASHRAE TC 9.9 guidance).
Findings
A photo log of conditions found and a short, risk-ranked list of observations.
Record
Date, sampling plan, and the instrument used with its calibration date.
Instrument
Counts are taken with a calibrated particle counter; its calibration date is on every report.
Note
ISO 14644-1 classifies a room’s airborne particle cleanliness. Our report records the counts measured on the day of sampling against those classes. It describes your room on that day; it is not a certification of the room or a rating of our company.
Controls

Materials and limits

Materials
Neutral cleaners appropriate to the surface, with SDS on file and shared on request.
What we never do
  • Use blowers or compressed air
  • Wet-mop raised-floor tiles
  • Apply wax or floor finish
  • Lift more tiles than the plan allows
  • Prop doors or break containment without approval
